Pig Man

A couple weeks ago, we were in the tiny town of Middlebrook. It is so small that the post office and the library are in the same building!

We passed their General Store. It was built in 1901.

Sitting right in front of the store was my new friend. Pig Man!

He wore his  floppy hat and gloves, and he was ready to do some gardening. Of course he wore sunglasses to protect his little piggy eyes. He watched everyone who passed by.

He was an impressive pig, and the best part of our trip. You just never know what you'll find in small towns.

“Like a gold ring in a pig’s snout is a beautiful face on an empty head.”
Proverbs 11

Well how cute is that. Pig Man looks like he's quite comfortable sitting there.

Those buildings are charming. Do you think you could hire pigman to do some yard work for you? Or does he just set around all day? LOL

You would never know until you got up close.

What a neat town Ginny and your new friend is so cute! We enjoyed our trip up to Big Meadows. We live an hour-and-a-half away from there, 25 miles out of Washington DC. I didn't realize you lived so close. If you ever want to meet up at the Lodge for lunch I'll let you know the next time we are heading out that way. It would be great meeting you.

That's great Ginny, I'll let you know when we go back.

Very true finding neat things in small towns. Every few weekends, my sister and I drive around to find one. More interesting than in the Hot city.
