Super Heroes

Come along with us and see the girls Super Heroes as they came over in their costumes tonight! Here was our table.

My two favorite men.

Tonight we were visited by Cat Woman, Batman, and Robin! You would never guess they are our very own grands!

We gave them spider web glasses!

Which Phil & I tried on too!

From our house to yours, I hope your week rocks! And watch out for those super heroes.

Fall Hay

After showing you hay with faces, now let's look at regular hay bales out in the fields. Each field looks different and unique.

“Make hay while the sun shines—that’s smart; go fishing during harvest—that’s stupid.”

Hay There!

We are surrounded by fields and cows. So around here, people put their hay to lots of different uses. It is such fun driving around in the fall looking at the many faces of hay.

“Look, you’re up to no good—it’s written all over your faces.”

The Pavillion

This is The Pavilion in downtown Charlottesville. All kinds of performers come here. They can entertain outside in the good weather.

These tree change so beautifully in the fall.

Here is a little peek inside. This is where Garrison Keillor performed "The Prairie Home Companion" once.

“[ The World Is Not a Stage ] “Be especially careful when you are trying to be good so that you don’t make a performance out of it. It might be good theater, but the God who made you won’t be applauding.

The Grin

As we were driving, I felt someone or something watching us. I turned and looked, and this is what I saw lurking in the woods. Grinning at us. But in  a scary way.

He kept getting closer...

Just as I was sure he would pounce on us, I saw the snake and bird. We left too fast to see what happened to them, but it can't have been good. I think the grinning cat had a good meal.

“But what’s this I see? They’re scared out of their wits! They break ranks and run for cover. .. It’s total chaos, total confusion, danger everywhere!”
Jeremiah 46

You've Got Mail

Around here, people really decorate for the seasons. And that even includes their mailboxes! Here are a few around town now.

“Like a cool drink of water when you’re worn out and weary is a letter from a long-lost friend.”

Shine On, Harvest Moon

Watch the rising of the Harvest Moon with me! This month, it was also a Super Moon (closer to the earth than usual). It rose amid cloud streaks. It was huge and orange, but as it rose it became paler. I took these pictures Saturday and Sunday evenings.

“So let’s not allow ourselves to get fatigued doing good. At the right time we will harvest a good crop if we don’t give up, or quit.”

Galatians 6

Pumpkin Barn

This pumpkin barn has been around for decades. There are never any pumpkins in it, but it is always fun to pass by. I have posted it before, but thought I would try a few fun edits this time. Especially since it is pumpkin season.
