Gorgeous... Love the color... We have that one (or one very similar) in our yard... Ours are all gone now --but most will re-bloom in the Fall...

Absolutely gorgous macros Ginny, your photos are exquisite as are these iris'. I was out at our favorite garden today and only saw one bunch of iris' blooming. They weren't as robust as these so perhaps we are a week away yet. Have a wonderful weekend :)

Oh, Ginny, these are wonderful pics!
Irises are very near the top on my favorites list of flowers. This one has lovely color.
Very beautiful and sweet color of the iris, Ginny... Nice shots!
This is the color of the bed of irises that we had at our former home. They were so pretty and I love the color. My MIL always called irises "flags". Love your photos!
Absolutely beautiful! God's handiwork, indeed!!

Hi Ginny. With ref to your question on my post - I have 2 grown up sons, not married yet and they are now working in the capital city. Thank you.
Just one more part of God's magnificent creation! Beautiful pictures Ginny!!
Wow such beautiful pictures of iris! Love the soft color! We had iris at my childhood home. They had darker color and they were beautiful, too :-)
I love it! Love irises and this color is wonderful.
Mmmmmmmmmmmmm, these images are, okay, for the lack of a better word, they're delicious!! Such yummy colors. I love iris, as you know.
Now, Ginny, to answer your question about why the supertankers have not docked before...it's my understanding that their draft [especially when full of crude oil], their draft is too deep for the ships' channels. And most of the docks around the USA are not large enough and need to be modified to accommodate their size. The one in Ingleside is large enough, the question was is the channel deep enough? It came in empty...and went out only half full...so, there is still some modifying to do. In the future Corpus Christi's channel is going to be dredged to 52 feet in depth...it will the the deepest in USA I think. And there is the beginning of a NEW harbor bridge being built that will make large [higher] cruise ships easily maneuvered under the bridge to be able to come into port. Thing is, the older, smaller tanker ships are becoming obsolete and the ports around our country need to restyle their docks. One large CONTAINER ship from China successfully docked in Los Angeles, but not a TANKER...Anne is the first one.
These are so pretty. I finally found a place that my irises are blooming. Yay... Hugs, LJ
