Memorial Day 2017

Your silent tents of green
We deck with fragrant flowers;
Yours has the suffering been,
The memory shall be ours.

Beautiful tribute to the brave soldiers who gave their all that we might be free! I love the poem and it is one I haven't read before now. Perfect.

We escaped the brunt of the storms that were expected to come through here the other day. Parts of MO weren't so fortunate and I heard of a car swept away down in Branson by a flash flood that took 2 of the lives of those in the car. So tragic. We were very fortunate to have only rain and some wind. My son was following this storm in as he was driving in from KC and I was watching the radar to tell him when to stop. He had to stop about 3 times at exits along the way. Ahead of him at one point was 60+ mph winds.

Hope you are enjoying this holiday weekend!
