The Dawning Of The Age Of Aquarius

Anne Marie had her first school dance! She is in the sixth grade now, and it was a Halloween costume dance. SO, she and her friends dug out their mom's old outfits from the 60's, and second generation hippies were born! Groovy, man!

The Hippies did have some good ideals, especially about peace and love. They just took the love part a bit too literally and publicly!

Were you ever a hippie? Did you ever want to be a hippie?

“Think in harmony. Be agreeable. Do all that, and the God of love and peace will be with you for sure.”

Neat... Thinking about costumes in this crazy country these days, wonder if people have to careful not to 'offend' anyone??? For instance, my granddaughter's sorority had a costume party and some dressed up like Indians... They got in trouble... I think this 'offending-crap' is for the birds... It's horrible what has and is happening.

Anyhow---Anne Marie is FANTASTIC as a HIPPIE.

Hugs,
Betsy

Terrific outfits.
How fun and so cute.
I was never a hippie and was so conservative that it didn't interest me.
Graduated high school in 61 and was married in 64....my brain was on to other things.

The girls make really cute hippies! No, I was never a hippie and really didn't want to be one. I knew my mother would have freaked out if I came home from college dressed like that. Back in those days, we (most of us) didn't want to disappoint our mothers!

Anne Marie and her friends look adorable. No, I was never a hippie. The concept missed me living in the UK but when I lived in California, we had neighbors who were and we were invited over one night for pizza. They told me back in the day they used to put pot on their pizza. I looked at the one they gave us a little suspiciously after that, lol.
