A Heavenly Book

We saw this a couple years ago at a library. This angel was made from a book and pages. The pages all seem to be music sheets.

“And he dreamed: A stairway was set on the ground and it reached all the way to the sky; angels of God were going up and going down on it.”
Genesis 28

This is darling, Ginny! We made something similar in Girl Scouts when I was little. My Mom was our leader. But we made a Christmas tree out of an old Reader's Digest... and then we spray painted it silver or green.... and pasted tiny bulbs on it. So much fun! Those were the days! Love, Andrea xoxo

I've seen projects made from books and I remember making birdhouses (I think) with readers digest but I've never seen an entire book used like this. Very unique. I deserved the first place that it got

Oh, my, you just reminded me of something...do this to all the pages of a magazine including the cover. Then fold yhe bottom corner of each oage just to where it meets the folded paper and then bring the backs together and you have a Christmas tree. I had not thought of this in years. You can then spraypaint it green.

I LOVE IT!!! really do.. this would be easy to do and make a beautiful decoration and serve to recycle old books.. I used to make Christmas trees out of old catalogs many years ago, and spray with paint...

I've seen artworks and crafts using books, but never seen a book angel :-) It looks very pretty!

I have seen these in the past. I thought it a neat idea.

If you take the book cover off - and bring it all the way around and paint it green = a Christmas Tree. You can also use these as a door stop! Easy to make. Love, sandie

Now, that's the way to turn an old book into a piece of art.

I love how someone can come up with such a pretty artistic work of art out of old books.
