Deserted

Today we had to make a trip of almost an hour to pick up a prescription. The usually busy streets were deserted.

When we did encounter vehicles, they were usually trucks. During this time, all the trucking regulations have been relaxed. So there are lots of trucks on the road. All filled with toilet paper, I hope!

Finally, back in our hometown. It was good to get out, even though everywhere looks like a ghost town.

"Nothing is more deadly than a deserted, waiting street."
Harper Lee

There are still cars moving about here but way less than normal.

Since the movement control order, I have not been out on the trunk road or highway. Even the roads in our residential area is very quiet and hardly any traffic. We have to be alert and cautious because of many cases of robberies and snatch thefts.

I love that third shot! And hope you are at least right about some of the trucks being TP.

when we walk our streets, at a little after 7, deserted is what they are. but traffic today going to WM at 5:45 was already out there, Cortez, the deadliest street in FL is what they say about it, was alredy jammed with cars. at 7 it was jammed... can't figure where they were all going

I am glad you were able to get your prescription. Thank you for these scenes of deserted roads. It is quiet around here in our neighborhood. I haven’t been out on our main roads to check what it is like traffic-wise.

We, too, have noticed a drop in traffic over the past couple of weeks. I had to get an eye injection last week and there was much less traffic on the interstate.

Yes, the earth is so quiet, isn't it? I love it... just NOT for the reason for the quietness. The world is getting so cleansed: the air, the ground, the water. I wish it could stay that way forever. Love, Andrea xoxo

That's a long way to drive to pick up a prescription. But beautiful landscape, so hope you were able to enjoy the outing as well.
