Mystery Box

Any guesses what this strange looking mailbox is? Is it even a mailbox? I'll tell you on my next post.

Well I suppose it could be a mailbox although a bit big, or where people leave book or take books, or for dog poo!

Isn't this where you drop off retired flags?

It does look like a mailbox. Looking forward to your answer.

I don't know, but I have an idea ...
Maybe it's the ballot box Mr. T is looking for to win the election ?! 🤣 🤣 🤣

It looks like a mailbox but since it says American Legion on the side I'm guessing it's some kind of drop off box for them.

I think it's a drop box for old flags.

I don't think it is a mail box, because of the star on the side, maybe a lock box drop off for something? Martha might be right,

I'm sure it is not a mailbox. I'm also sure that people mistake it for one, and that some envelopes, addressed and stamped, may be found in there occasionally.

I also think it is a drop off box for retired flags.

You always find such interesting things to share. Lots of different sights in your part of the world.
You do great on creating and posting your blog. How do you change the design so often? I would like something new, but know nothing about doing changes.

I think Anni is correct it's for retired flags so they can get a "Proper Disposal".
Great question

Good observation, Ann. I wouldn't have noticed the American Legion insignia on the side. I'm curious to see what the answer is. Great post, it gives us something to look forward to.

It looks like a mailbox. Around here we have large boxes like that for clothing donations to certain charities.

It looks like a mailbox, but I doubt it. LOL

Answer to your question: Yes, Joyce is my only neighbor, plus she has two guys that live on her property, one has three horses and a pony. Joyce has three horses too, plus a herd of cattle and two llamas. So there are a lot of large animals around here. I can enjoy them without being responsible for them.

Now you have me curious!

Is it where you deposit an American flag that has done it's service?
