This mural is in the heart of Charlottesville, Va. The artist said that beside painting what he had planned, he also included people he saw nearby. Like a workman, children playing ball, or someone grilling.
I have tried to snap this mural for what seems like years! But it is at the intersection of a very busy highway intersection and an interstater ramp.
Many
of our buildings have large format murals that are of varying subject matter,
and we've found that those are the sort of things that make people stop,
digest, and absorb.

It's really beautiful Ginny! I'm glad you were finally able to get some photos. You should share this at Monday Murals! (There's a link at the bottom of my last post if you're interested :)
Well that is a fun and very colorful mural.
I have to say that town looks like fun, family, and fellowship!
Cool! I love murals. The bigger, the better. xoxo
This mural is so beautiful, Ginny. Lots of people call it "graffiti" but not me. I think every town everywhere should have murals all over the outside of their buildings. Wouldn't that be wonderful? Such beautiful art!! ~Andrea xoxo
Your patience paid off, these are great photos. The mural is beautiful and I love the fact that the artist added the people he saw in his work.
My favorite is the woman in the hammock with one leg hanging out reading a book. That would be me if I wasn't afraid of hammocks haha. It is really beautiful
I think you did a great job. It's very interesting and I too love that woman in the hammock.
Very nice work.
Too bad it is at a busy intersection though.
Although, hope it inspires some people to park, and walk back, and enjoy all of them. -smile-

Glad you were able to finally capture the great art work.
Your community seems very art-minded. I like that.

I really like this mural.
A spectacular mural, congratulations to the artist.
Have a nice week
It is a nice mural. That would be fun to find yourself on the mural while not knowing it was going to happen.
Hi,
I like it. I enjoy murals too.
It's a beautiful mural!
What a fabulous mural. Art seems to very big in your area
Somebody is so talented to do these. I think it must be harder to paint a large mural than a smaller picture.
What a fun mural! I love that he included people from the area.
It's so cheerful and friendly. π
A day brightener indeed!
