Duct Tape, Chicken Wire, & Garbage Bags

There was a two page article in the local paper about the Halloween decorations in the yard of a house about twenty minutes away.

The homeowners had made these witches from garbage bags, vinegar bottles, duct tape, and chicken wire. They are not meant to be evil, they are supposed to be cute and whimsical. We went to see them. They light up and move at night, but we went in the day.

The house is across the street from a school, and they are asking for donations to support the schools' art and music program. They also had a website that can accept donations.

Very cute, and very talented. What a perfect way to solicit donations for a good cause. Sad that it has to be done. Our schools should be better funded.

Love the saying about playing and getting old. Have seen it before, but it's nice be reminded of it.

The one in your header was scary! So these people didn't stop playing when they grew up!

Hi, Ginny!
I have to confess that I don't like Halloween or witches, so I'm not a fan of those, but I hope they can gather the money to support the schools' art and music program. And I agree 100% with that quote!
Have a wonderful week!

Fantastic decorations!!!!!

There were 3 witches and their pot (Shakespeare), made with garbage bags I think. On the way to picking up our grocery order. The woman was out making them, and I was able to pull over and tell her "What a great job!" :-)

But these are really amazing!

People are so creative with their projects. These witches are whimsical. Your neighborhood is always decked out with decorations for all the holidays. I really enjoy seeing the Christmas ones. I like the fact that the donations will go to support the school's art and music program. I love the "playing" quote. I've heard that before, and it always makes me smile. : )

Have a wonderful November week, Ginny.
