Yellow & Brown

I snapped these photos of plants we happened to pass just a short while ago. They are  dead or almost dead. Yet in their own way, I find them beautiful and sad. Would you agree?

They are all real pretty and some would look good in one of those dried flower arrangements.

They have a beauty all their own. I always think that my hydrangea look pretty when they are all dried out.

Even dead plants have their own beauty. Will they grow back when winter is over?

I see the beauty but not the sad part. I think they're beautiful the colors and I love the one with a pretty little green Evergreen between the two golden bushes. That's my favorite and my next favorite is the last one that looks like either a little cow or a goat underneath it

Yes, I agree... Feels like we're way past that stage here now even if we're back to snow-free again.

I never really thought about it being sad - more like inevitable. Everything dies. The good news is they will come back alive and more beautiful than the previous season. I never can understand when there are some who really detest the shedding of leaves in the Fall - whereas I am thankful for all those leaves a few months earlier for their cooling shade on a hot summer day.

So I gratefully rake…

Ps. I deleted my other comment due to spell check messing up my intended spellings. Grrrrr

Yah, that's the way it is..everything has to die..Those plants are interesting in their own way.
Have a great day.

I agree, they really do look pretty.
I think the same is true with people. There is such beauty in an older persons hands, and a face with wrinkles has a beauty all it's own.

Awwww they did their best and their time will come again. That GK quote reminds me of the Yogi Berra quote my mother made me include in her funeral program: "Always go to other people's funerals, otherwise they won't come to yours." Haaahaha xoxo
