It Didn't Rain On Our Parade!

Governer's School graduation was last week. This week is high school graduation. And this tradition is that all the graduates line up on the downtown street. Family & friends decorate their cars and drive by them honking their horns and screaming encouragement. We were there for Anne Marie! We decorated the car at home.

These people were in front of us.

But they turned away at the last minute because they did not want to be the first in the line! So we were first, right behind the lead car. Here is the lead.

The cops were there, making sure the streets stayed blocked off.

They were running to get into place.

And here are the graduates!

We got only one shot of Anne Marie. Her cap kept blowing off and she was trying to hold onto it.

What a great tradition! I love that they do this and that you took part!
PS - the flowers I had in my post were Coral Bells or heuchera's. They come in many varieties and leaf color. We like them for their color but some have very pretty flowers in the Spring.
