Running Toward Danger

We passed by this house just a few blocks away. Had to back up and take a second look at their unusual flag. Can you guess what it represents?

The flag is known as the Thin Line Flag, or First Responder Support Flag.  It replaces the usual stripes with different colored ones. It is often displayed to show solidarity with first responders and military personnel.

Each colored stripe represents support for different public service professions:

Blue – Law enforcement

Red – Firefighters

Green – Military

White – Emergency Medical Services

“A first responder flag is courage stitched into color, waving for those who run toward danger.”

I have never seen one, or even seen or heard of one on TV which is our window to the world, until this one. I have heard the words running towards danger, but only in the many novels I read.. very interesting. I will fight the desire to go down a rabbit hole on this flag, even though the desire is to do it now. ha ha

I've never seen a flag like that, Ginny. I love it and all for which it stands!

What a relief that this flag represent a noble cause and courage. At first glance, I was afraid it might be another pervert/deviants flag, like those awful rainbow flags that soil the country.

This is so new to me, what a great idea. I'm going to keep my eyes open for one flying in my little town.
