Driving home tonight, we saw that the moon was exactly a half moon. So pretty. And I thought it was even prettier after looking at these pictures, where you can actually see some of the craters and color variations. My header is a shot I took of the half moon in the daytime a few weeks ago. Good-night, moon.
"The sun will no more be your light by day, nor will the brightness of the moon shine on you. For the Lord will be your everlasting light, and your God will be your glory. Your sun will never set again, and your moon will wane no more; the Lord will be your everlasting light, and your days of sorrow will end." Isaiah 60:19,20

I think the detail is superb!! It fits rather nicely with your page and the warm Autumn tones- I see cheese up there (lol)
hey Ginny..how you manage to capture the moon, it is a wonder... your camera and your skill must be something I must admire..
Have a nice weekend!
Your daylight and nighttime moon photos are excellent Ginny. I love to see the color variations and details of the moon.
Have a great Sunday!

You take the most amazing photos Ginny! Thank you for sharing them and for this uplifting verse. Happy Sunday.
Those are neat photos. I've taken thousands of pictures but never any pictures of the moon that turned out as good as these.
I can see the man in the moon--well, half of him at least. Wonderful photos!
Best,
Bonnie

I do love the different stages of the moon. The picture in your header is awesome! My personal favorites....the sliver of a moon and the full moon!
Have a fabulous day!
You've gotten some marvelous photos of the moon. I like both the color and detail of your night-time photos. Very well done!
God's beautiful world! Thanks for capturing and sharing those images. Happy Sunday morning!
We've been having cloud cover and I haven't seen it this week. You got some great shots Ginny! Yup, half a moon is better than no moon! Sitting here watching the sun come up - glorious. And Christ will surpass both in being our everlasting Light! Be blessed!
Great moon pictures, Ginny... I have never tried to take any moon pictures much --but love looking at ones that others take... You did a great job....
Remember the little children's book, "Goodnight, Moon"????? NEAT book... Your post reminded me of that book.
Have a wonderful Sunday.
Hugs,
Betsy

Thanks!
It is so hard to get the moon just right... but you did it. I always think of the poem... I see the moon, the moon sees me... Down through the leaves of the old oak tree.... Please let the light that shines on me... Shine on the one I love.
Guess what, I was out looking at the half moon last night, too. Can't get a good picture of the moon with my camera though.
PS Forgot to say: I looks like half a cookie to me! :)
Fabulous shots of the half moon - so warm in color!!! Good night moon!
I look forward to the fulfillment of Isaiah's prophecy!
Love the golden glow you have given the images, Ginny. I've never been able to get a picture of the moon like this. I either am clueless on how to set the right setting or, more likely, my camera is to pocket point and click.
Hugs, Annie
your photograph is so good, your technique is great.
I don't go to slides again. I am too old for that. It hurt a long time. The young man, about 17 was quite scared. he walked me to the lifeguard.
GORGEOUS PICTURES. It's funny being so far away - yet we are both looking at the same moon. And we have the same God.
sandie
I could never capture the moon like that! To see these details....beautiful!!
That's a pretty awesome shot!
