Reflections

Here are some lights to get you in the mood for Christmas. These are all double images, they are reflected in water. The pictures are from a botanical garden in Richmond. They have many acres of lights and they put up different ones every year. It takes a year to do it. These are from last Christmas, I'm hoping to go again this December. I can't wait!

"Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known." 1 Cor. 13:12

Ginny, these are just breath-taking. I love December, the lights, the holiday shows on TV, the music, the entire mood of it. People are even nicer to each other (or so it seems).

These photos make me want to go to Richmond in December! I drove through one of these Christmas light areas in Memphis a few years ago. We stopped at Starbuck's first and sipped a gingerbread latte as we made our way through. Nice memory!

Best,
Bonnie

Your header photo is stunning! I love the way you've photographed them all with the reflection in the water. The effect is magical!

Love these Christmas lights! Double fun. We went to Bellingrath Gardens near Mobile, AL, last year and are hoping to do a repeat this year. Think I'll borrow your idea and post a few pix. Maybe it will help cement our schedule to include this holiday treat! That header photo still blows me away. Can't wait to see this year's rendition of the Richmond lights.

I particularly love the one with the trees, I believe the second one down. Today, here, it is a mess.. they are tearing out one wall of the dining room where we had water during the strange storm associated with one of the tropical systems in early October. The contractor says a week... I HOPE SO!

My favorite is the one with the trees - that slight curve with a black canvas is just so fascinating! All of them are great shots though!

I look forward to the day of "knowing fully". I will never mis-understand again. Nor will I be mis-understood. What a wonderful thought that is.
