Summer And Smoke

I may not have gotten any pictures of fireworks, but I got plenty of smoke bomb ones. Smoke bombs are kind of like daytime fireworks. The little kids love them, because they aren't scary, just pretty. Of course the wind gradually sweeps the smoke away till it's just a mist. Here's something else that is swept away like mist.

"I have swept away your offenses like a cloud, your sins like the morning mist. Return to me, for I have redeemed you."
Isaiah 44:22

Colorful mist.. over at my place, we do not have these type of "colorful smoke." Is it warm over at your place now? over here, it is hazy..

Isaiah 44:22

what a wonderful verse.

The smoke bombs are so beautiful. How do they make the colors?

Oh wow, those are really pretty colors. I had forgotten all about the smoke bombs, we used to do them on the 4th when my stepdaughter would spend the summer with us. Gotta love that pink.

these are so pretty, i did not even know there are smoke bombs, i have only seen them in our action movies where they throw them in to get the bad guys to come out. wonder why they don't use colored ones. ha ha i like these better than fireworks because i like the silence of it all. now if only our neighbors would make their illegal booms into pretty smoke.

We have our own smoke bombs drifting down from the fires from Okefenokee that have been burning for a long time - I can't even walk around the lake today with the Gizz because inhaling that stuff makes me cough my lungs out and gives me a headache.

I hope your air is much better where you live!

You certainly have some colorful clouds there, my friend!

Reminds me of "I Dream of Jeannie".

Hi Ginny, I have never seen these before except on TV for military stories. The only fireworks legal in California where I used to live, were very very tame ones and even those were to be set off in rural localities. Have a super nice day!

I am so glad God has forgiven me!

And the smoke bombs - they were so very pretty - I don't think I have ever seen any of those.

Ginny, back in the day smoke bombs were just "smoke colored", at least the neighbor's were, lol. Like everything else, I think technology has given color to smoke bombs. Your header struck me as such a beautiful expression of color...had no idea that was smoke from a "smoke bomb". Very interesting post. Thank you for keeping Terry in your prayers for next Monday. God bless.

I think they look pretty!! You know I also noticed from some left over fireworks some family members had (what you mentioned about where they actually came out off of- like the chickens) that is gross!! Anyway, I haven't taken any for long time (sniff)..maybe by next year I'll have a sharp camera!

I've never seen those kinds of fireworks. They do look beautiful.

Sunday Sunset

I snapped these from the Target parking lot. The sun had just gone down, but the trees were hiding the very bottom part of the sunset. Life...
