The Best Christmas Light

"In the hopes of reaching the moon, men fail to see the flowers that blossom at their feet."
Albert Schweitzer

Well, I do fail to see anything else when the moon looks like this.Today we went out to run some errands, then went to see a Christmas light display. But the best light came early in the day before it even got dark. The Christmas lights were rather tawdry and paled in comparison to this.

Thank the miracle-working God,
His love never quits.
The God whose skill formed the cosmos,
His love never quits…
The God who filled the skies with light,
His love never quits.
The sun to watch over the day,
His love never quits.
Moon and stars as guardians of the night,
His love never quits.
Psalm 136

Tawdry indeed compared to this.

Our moon was just barely showing through cloudy skies, but it was also beautiful in its own way!

I too noticed that beautiful moon yesterday as I was driving my school bus. No time for pictures then, but now I can enjoy the ones you took.

Love the blue and white colors of these moonshots! So different! Will have to make a special point of looking tonight! Because we still don't have our verticals - they were supposed to be here at the beginning of the week - the moon still shines in my face when I'm asleep! It is so bright! Thanks to our Creator for such beautiful lights in the sky! Love The Light of the world the best!

Oh that gorgeous full moon... (I assume you got no snow????)

We wanted to be at the beach now --so that we could see the fullmoon over the water.. BUT--maybe next year!!!!

You take the best moon pictures of anyone. YES---that is the BEST Christmas light for sure.
Hugs,
Betsy

Girl, you sure can capture the moon, this is splended!

Hi Ginny,

You must ahve a very sophisticated camera to capture the moon like this.

Did you decorate your tree with the grands?

I think I might not bother: 1 Husband is overseas,
2: My decorations are packed away.

Perhaps I will decorate the tree outside again. I suddenely felt strange, the old house had trees outside too.

What a beautiful moon. I think these are your best ones yet.

I Wholeheartedly agree, Ginny! The lights made by man will always pale in comparison to God's lights.

Wow what a moon shot! We were out just before dusk tonight too and I was looking at the moon peeking in and out of the clouds and wishing I had my camera. However, I would not have captured the beauty you did due to large cloud cover, so I truly appreciate what you captured. The beautiful Psalm and quote is icing on the cake. Thank you for all the very nice comments on my snowflake frames and posts. I admit I have been a bit more creative in presentation lately and the comments have been favorable. You are so nice Ginny. Have a beautiful weeekend. See you on Tues.

Thanks for your comment. People did ask me to confront them up front, but it is not the Asian way.

I haven't seen the first person for 30 years. The second is still in my city, but I didn't have any contact as she avoids me because she owes me a lot of money.
