A Family Gathering

Tonight, a dozen of us gathered to celebrate Phil's sister's 70th birthday. All close family. The first picture is Phil and his sister, the fourth picture is Phil with his siblings. We met in an old Train Station that was renovated and turned into a restaurant and gift shop. Many stories were told and laughs were had! I am in the last picture, but in the back so my face is hidden. A lady diner kindly volunteered to take pictures of all of us. Though it was a cold and rainy night, I left feeling all warm and fuzzy. Family can do that to you. Happy birthday, Lois!

"The accumulated sorrows of your exile will dissipate. I, your God, will get rid of them for you. You've carried those burdens long enough. At the same time, I'll get rid of all those who've made your life miserable. I'll heal the maimed; I'll bring home the homeless. In the very countries where they were hated they will be venerated. On Judgment Day I'll bring you back home—a great family gathering! You'll be famous and honored all over the world. You'll see it with your own eyes— all those painful partings turned into reunions!" God's Promise.
Zephaniah 3:18

It looks like a great time was had by all. Happy birthday to Lois!
I love the pictures... and especially the one of the little girls. So precious!
The no-spill bowls are ones you can get for toddlers that-no matter how you turn them, the bowl part never turns over. They're a pretty neat invention actually in spite of Gracie's attempts to prove them to be anything less.. lol

what a super place to get together, a place i would love since I am a big fan of trains. so glad you got your family time and hope Lois enjoyed it as much as you did. the girls are adorable and beautiful. I did not know Phil had 3 siblings, i can see the family resemblance. I only have one brother and always wished i had a big family. it would be nice to live closer to my brother, he is 10 hours away, so we see each other about every 3 or 4 years.

And won't that be a great day when the children of God are all called together for that grand re-union!

Hi Ginny, I missed our son who still lives in California on Christmas. Of course he called. We did have a nice get-together in September when my husband and I took our big driving camping trip out West. So glad you had a nice family time! Have a fantastic day today! I sure liked the Scripture you chose for today's post.
