“…behold, an angel of the Lord
appeared to him in a dream, saying,
“Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to
take to you Mary your wife,
for that which is conceived in her
is of the Holy Spirit.
And she will bring forth a Son, and
you shall call His name Jesus,
for He will save His people from
their sins.”
Matthew 1
“God sent the angel Gabriel to the
Galilean village of Nazareth to a virgin …
She was thoroughly shaken... But the angel
assured her, “Mary, you have nothing to fear. God has a surprise for you: You
will become pregnant and give birth to a son and call his name Jesus.
He will be great,
be called ‘Son of the Highest.’
The Lord God will give him
the throne of his father David;
He will rule Jacob’s house forever—
no end, ever, to his kingdom.”

Luke 1
There were sheepherders camping in the neighborhood. They had set night
watches over their sheep. Suddenly, God’s angel stood among them and God’s
glory blazed around them. They were terrified. The angel said, “Don’t be
afraid. I’m here to announce a great and joyful event that is meant for
everybody, worldwide: A Savior has just been born in David’s town, a Savior who
is Messiah and Master. This is what you’re to look for: a baby wrapped in a
blanket and lying in a manger.”
Luke 2

Born of a Virgin Mary in the manger... what more could we ask from Him... He is a King but He comes as a servant...
Christmas is to commemorate His birth... on this day we shall give Him a present.. a gift full of joy and love for one another.. this will be a Great Present for our Good Lord..
So sweet and so true!. You're photos are precious!
I have often thought about how scared Mary must have been, a pregnant unwed mother, not knowing what Joseph would do and then for the angel to appear. and she was very young, they have said 15 to 17. Love your angels and they would not scare anyone. so cute. did you play with the flashlight on a few of these? Merry Christmas
Cute little angels... Merry Christmas, Ginny!

What a Blessed event this was and today we can celebrate this with joy. Have a Wonderful Christmas.
What a fun collection of angels!
Can you imagine the fear of Mary when the angel spoke the words of the announciation. Our guide when we were in Nazareth said, single mothers were not appreciated 2.000 years ago.
Merry Christmas.
Greetings,
Filip
