They light up their plate border at night!
Then there's this other house in the other direction...they display their plates outside on a plate rack!

and your hearts inside out and give generously to the poor; then your lives will be clean, not just your dishes and your hands.”

HI Ginny I don't really like this gardens. There are too many 'things' there and it does not look natural.
what a fun yard. It looks very happy. I've seen the plate flower bed border done before and I think it's a very clever idea.
Some people are just more creative than others and apparently these owners are fun filled!...:)JP
Oh, Ginny, this has wow factor....I love the plate border for the flowerbeds. The pink makes me think of bubblegum....
Our neighbor, whose home and gardens were featured in Country Living a few years ago, has a few tea cups and sauces tucked away in little corners of the flower beds. Fun to come upon.
Best,
Bonnie
That is a great use of plates! I never would have thought.
i like the recycle factor of the plates as border, there are many pretty plates with cracks or chips that we would not want to use on the table but we be great outside.
How neat! I've never seen this before. Great way to recycle old plates and a great way to border a flower bed. This is fun!
What a neat idea. The place is so cute and well taken care of. Thanks for visiting and your comments. Having surgery on the other eye Thursday. Will not be posting again for awhile.
This is a very colorful and creative garden! I wish I'd saved my cracked and chipped plates now, because I have a spot in a flower garden that I could use them. I have an old stove like the pink one!
That's certainly an unusual sight - well, at least I've never seen anything like it before... :)
Wow! I've never seen or thought about using dishes as yard decoration! How creative! Love the light-up photo very much. So beautiful.
And I love the plate rack with plates. It suites pefectly there in the garden!
I have never seen that before...I've said it before and I will say it again...I love your neighborhood! This is so creative!
Blessings, Joanne
To each his own! Did you see Far Side of Fifty's blog about the glass flowers?
Hi Ginny, I always enjoy a person's creativity. Lovely and colorful with lots of brick-a-brac to keep the eyes entertained. Each garden should show a person's personality and I'd venture to say the people who live here are a fun lot.
Thanks for visiting my Paris post. You asked about the Glass Pyramid at the Louvre. Here is a link that will explain it in better detail than I can: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Louvre_Pyramid
I have to say that when I have seen photos of it before actually seeing the pyramid with my own eyes, I wasn't sure I liked it. Having seen it I thought it was truly magnificent.
Very colorful... AND--it's creative. I never would have thought about using colorful plates as borders for the garden --or as yard art... Amazing.
Hugs,
Betsy
What a fun place...I have never seen the plates lit up at night...very cool. I bet the people who live here are fun and lively :)
What a creative neighborhood!!! I want plates in MY garden now, too!!!
I love this, all the colors and the use of the plates made me smile. The first word that popped into my head when I saw it was whimsical.
I love when people have unique ideas and show it! This garden probably makes this person so happy everytime they look at it and that is what matters. :) Now I wonder if those plates are plastic?? :)
That definitely is a WOW yard indeed. Very unique :)
The yard brightens up the home.. I like it too!
Although I would never do this myself, I love seeing it in someone else's gardens. The gardener has a wonderful sense of delightful whimsy.
Novel yard art!
