Bristling

What is going on here?

How many of you played with Bristle Blocks when you were kids? Well, they still have them now, and really fancied up!

Ella spent a lot of time making two men, a tall one and a short one. She even put her favorite blue stone in the blue man's hand. Now she sits back to look at her finished work!

I love these kind of toys, they really promote creativity in kids! I also love Tall Man and Short Man.

I look at these toys and all I can think of is that I will be learning about children's toys. Again. Oh, brave new world.

I hadn't heard of Bristle Blocks before. I bet my niece would have loved this when she was little!

I had some of those when I was little! Now I know what they're called! :-)

Yes, I remember them! In fact, I think I'd like to have some now. Very clever of Ella to construct them in that way.

Best,
Bonnie

Hi There, Hope you had a great Labor Day Weekend. We did --but didn't do much since it has gotten so hot here. We did grill a couple of delicious steaks and had baked potatoes, tomatoes, cucumbers, pickles and cranberry relish for dinner... YUM...

Cute Bristle Blocks... I haven't seen those things in many years... Looks like Ella is having fun.

Hugs,
Betsy

Your little Ella is so sweet Ginny and she created some lovely sculptures with those bristle blocks. I have to admit I don't remember them but what a great idea for exercising a child's creative side.

I love what you did with the header picture!! I need that app!!
Isn't it nice to see kids playing with things like this, instead of being on a computer or phone all the time? Ella is such a cute girl..!!

Hugs to ya

We have my old school bristle blocks from when I was a kid. We don't have very many, but the boys enjoy building with them.

I love seeing kids being creative!

My daughter has taken away internet, cable, and games. She says she is teaching them to be creative and play pretend. They are adjusting better than I thought they would. This would be a great gift for the youngest. Writing the idea down now.

I don't think I have ever seen these...but will have to find them. I would like to play with them now, so will have to buy some for Tootie so I can.

These were not part of my childhood. Maybe I was out of that stage before they appeared. But these do seem like great promoters of creativity and fine motor skills. Ellas is a budding artist . . . or engineer.

I never saw these when I was growing up or even during the years I was raising children. Amber has a set for the quads and I thought they were a brand new invention!

Those are so cute and I love Ella's tall and short man. She is very creative.

I don't remember these type of blocks from my childhood. I had Legos, Lincoln logs and an erector set but not these.
