Bathing Beauties.

Last week, many flocks of robins flew in. I don't know if they had migrated and returned early, or had already been here.

There had just been a wet snow, and our driveway had a large puddle. Just the thing to wash the dirt off! And so it began.

A regal cardinal sat in the nearby lilac bush. He would have nothing to do with these commoners. His bath would wait until the rabble left, and he could proceed in a more seemly manner.

“Mirth is God's medicine. Everybody ought to bathe in it.”

I always enjoy watching the birds in the bird bath, or in this case puddle. They always look like they are having so much fun. I can't imagine splashing around in the cold water like that though

Oh, what a fun post, Ginny! Robins know how to bathe, that's for sure. They are experts at it, aren't they. *haha* :-)

How fun to watch the robins bathing! I usually see them by now on their way north, but so far they have been a no show.

It is way to early for us to have robins. Maybe spring will be earlier this year.
