Violets

Little wild violets have been growing everywhere. Big groups of them in people's yards and grassy fields. They are so sweet!

“Look at us, said the violets blooming at her feet, all last winter we slept in the seeming death but at the right time God awakened us, and here we are to comfort you.”

Y'wonder if this was intentional seeding. Either case, it's very pretty!

How pretty they are. And they just grow wild all over? I wouldn't mind having these growing in my yard.

These words came to my mind, "violets are blue, sugar is sweet my love, but not as sweet as you". Do you remember this old song, "Roses are red" by Bobby Vinton? Violets are beautiful and stand for modesty, humility, and simplicity (from the internet).

I have these in my orchard at my old place. I end up mowing them when they are done blooming.

I love those violets Ginny, but I really love the quote you have on them. They look dead but are very much alive!

I love violets Ginny. They are Wisconsin's state flower.
I enjoyed the quote too.

Very pretty! The last time I saw these growing so freely in the grass was when we visited the national arboretum and that's been an age ago.
