Full Beaver Moon

There is a full moon on Monday. But we are to get rain then, and it looks full now! So I snapped it early.

This month's full moon is called The Full Beaver Moon. Because for the Native Americans, this was the time to set beaver traps before the swamps froze. And the beavers are very actively preparing for winter now. Also sometimes called The Frosty Moon.

“There are storms to battle and weird swamps to cross. There are woods of refreshment. In the end, each of us vanishes into a mist.”

It sure does look full already, Ginny. How pretty! We're forecast to have one more nice day tomorrow (Sunday), with highs in the low 50s, and then cold-cold-cold is supposed to move in starting Monday. I'm getting used to 40s & 50s with sunshine in November!! ~Andrea xoxo

I was admiring it as I drove home from my daughter’s house last night. It wasn’t quite full but enough to be beautiful just the same.

Lovely. The moon is one of those constants, it is always there in one shape or the other.

I saw the moon as I was leaving for work this morning. It sure was a sight. The one guy at work came in shortly after I did and he said it was red but it sure didn't look red when I saw it.
Your photos are stunning as always.
