I sure did what this quote commanded when we came across this tree. These little brown balls are so intricate. They are God's tree decorations!

Nice post! 🙂
And all these prickly things are a lot of fun, but yeah ... they are prickly!!
Is this a buckeye tree?
You have a good eye for detail. I don't think I ever saw any like these? Do you know what tree it is?
These are fascinating. They really do look like decorations hung from the branches.
they are indeed beautiful against the sky, beautiful background is perfect for them. they also hurt a LOT if stepped on barefooted... it has been years since i have seen any of these. we walk on frond berries here. gorgeous picks of these prickly pretty pods
These really make for some cool photos. We have those here in Florida too but I can only remember seeing them on the ground and wondering what they were from. Really nice Ginny!
I like your pictures and both quotes. The quotes may very well apply to 'prickly' people as well.
That looks like a Sweet Gum to me...is it? I know Sycamore have those but these look a bit too small.
Anyway, wouldn't they be pretty painted silver and gold and hung on our Christmas trees!
Yes, this is a Sweet Gum Tree and plentiful in the woods down south. Small boys used to use them as 'ammo' when they played pretend war. Also make good Christmas decorations.
Ginny I loved that today! Meant something different for me.
Never saw a close up of those little prickly balls before! They certainly are intricate!
I love that you always change your background here. I find myself wondering what I may see today. Prickly things abound here in our canyon. Some years we have these huge tumble weeds, called Russian thistles that gather at my gate. If I forget to bring my gloves, I'm in trouble.
You asked if we have power outages here. Not very often, considering how much the strong winds blow. I have no tall trees here, so no worries for me. Last time we had an outage for several days was after our epic 2019 Christmas snowstorm which dumped almost three feet of snow here. It was out for two days and so, so cold in here.
Lovely shots, prickly things can still be very beautiful!
Oh yes, it pays to take note of the little things, even when they are prickly.
Love this, Ginny!...jp
You found lots of beauty in these pricklies! Love them!
Really a good post, it meant a lot to me to read it and see the lovely photo you shared too. Thank you. God is very good.
Aren't those great? There's nothing wrong with being prickly, haahaha xoxo
