Black Necked

Behold the Black-Necked Swan, which we saw a few years ago. He looks like a black swan and a white swan combined! Native to south America and Australia.

The term "swan song" comes from the ancient Greek belief that a swan sang a song of death when its life was about to end.

I've never seen a swan with a black neck.

Yes, a very unique color, black at the neck, like she is wearing something over the head to the neck... hahaha..

So graceful and lovely. You asked about Ella Jean. SHe is 6 lbs. this week but needing to get her food intake up to 75%. that is preventing her from going home yet. Like her brother Logan, she will walk and talk slower than most in her age group but both of them are such sweethearts. Smart too. We keep praying Ella will get home soon but we do want her to be totally independent of the hospital so she does not end up back there. Beverly, at HOw Sweet the Sound blog posted Ella's photo because for her blog hop my blog post had the most clicks. Our little ELla is a celebrity, my very favorite kind. :-) I hope your weekend is wonderful.

I have never seen anything like that -- neither black nor white, but black AND white! So beautiful! Why be one or the other when you can be both? Haahaha xo
