Today is the first day of Meteorological Spring! Did you know there are TWO first days of Spring? Meteorological and Astronomical. Astronomical begins on the Spring Equinox. Meteorlogical seasons always begin on the first days of the month, so each season id evenly divided into three months. Anyway, what could be more springlike than tulips? Here are some of my photos from a past spring.

How very beautiful Ginny. I love your photos :)
I love the striking color of these flowers, it brightens up the day!!
The one thing I know about spring is that beautiful flowers are blooming everywhere. The tulips are gorgeous and the colour so striking.
Hi Ginny. The tulips are so beautiful. And they fit in perfectly with this day! Yeee ... it's spring!
I have never seen a tulip growing, only in the stores in boquets and not even in the nursery in pots. i am wondering if they don't do well here
Until this year I've never heard of a meteorological spring. I've only ever heard of the spring equinox.
Those tulips sure are pretty. I can't wait to start seeing spring flowers.
They are just beautiful! I have been in a spring-like mood this weekend even though Saturday morning started with a light snow
How beautiful Ginny! Happy spring :)
They sure are a cheerful bunch!
Yes, Happy Spring, Ginny! May it be a good one for all of us. ~Andrea xoxo

You share so many interesting sights and the history. I treasure your visits and comments.
These are so pretty. It will be a while before we see flowers outside here.
WOW your tulips were gorgeous last year! Our daffodils are up and just a-nodding in the warm breezes! xo
So beautiful! They almost glow in the light.
