The Ugly Wall

At the local art park, there is a big ugly concrete wall. So they painted this mural on it, and voila! Not ugly anymore. Instead; joyful and weird. Here is the joyful.

And here is the weird. So I guess there's something for everyone.

“No great artist ever sees things as they really are. If he did, he would cease to be an artist.”

 ~Oscar Wilde

WOW, they really did make that wall look good. I love the first. The second one is very creative but I'm not sure I can figure out just what it's supposed to be.

Love the firs one and agree the second one is a bit weird. Art, perhaps?

I was going to say it is pretty! I agree with the quote - an artist can see things I could never see.

Your description was perfect. And there's something about artistic license. Oscar's quote is very true :) I like the first one of the girl but I would like to talk to that artist about the second, about what he was going for.

Definitely both joyful and weird but either way the ugly wall sure looks a lot better!

Just goes to show you anything can be transformed!

Both those paintings serve to brighten an otherwise dull area.

Nice and colorful and certainly better than looking a cement wall.

Joyful art! That second one is sure different. Not a fan of snakes though.

Joyful one was lovely. Second one was well done but gave me the creeps!
