Marching Into Spring

This month's full moon is called "The Full Worm Moon". The Native Americans named all the moons according to what they saw at the time. Right now the ground is thawing and the worms are coming out. It was so cloudy that I almost gave up.

See how the trees look orange? In fact, there were no leaves on them. The sunset was turning them orange.

Wait till you see what we saw right after the moon rose! That will be my next post.

Oh, Spring is surely coming,
Her couriers fill the air;
Each morn are new arrivals,
Each night her ways prepare;
I scent her fragrant garments,
Her foot is on the stair.

A coyote, howling at the moon? That's my guess and I'm sticking to it. Curious, I am.

Extraordinary moon captures Ginny.

I like these a lot, they are so very different. the sky and clouds look so much different. happy to hear your spring has sprung... It amazes me how the slanting sun paints things. last night the sun almost down at 7:15 made a painting in our backyard, coming soon to a blog near you

I can't believe that the trees did not have beautiful orange leaves on them! Cool.

so glad your clouds moved and you were able to see this, and capture it.

I had mostly forgotten the Full Moon. Never even looked to see, if I could see it. I'm falling down on my Full Moon Alert Duties. -grin-

Glad you are on duty!!!!!!!

Isn't that strange? I saw a tree near the creek, and it had Fall colors, and thought it was unusual with Winter ending and Spring coming. Those orange trees reminded me of that. But it was in the middle of the day, not at sunset. Those are very cool moon photos. I'm glad you share them with us often.
