Naptime

We went birdwatching down at the river this week. I should have known they would all be asleep at mid-day. And so they were, their heads all tucked under their wings. I would get the WORST crick in my neck!

That white one with the iridescent purple head is a male bufflehead!

Well at least if they are sleeping they won't fly away when you are trying to get their picture...lol
My neck hurts just thinking about trying to sleep like that

It makes my neck hurt to even think about doing this.

Oh, bird watching. One of my favorite things to do. And you got to visit the river. What a peaceful time that must have been. I noticed the river nearby while driving, but there was nowhere to park and stay awhile. There is a close by lake that I want to visit this Spring. That little Heron is cute.

Have a very nice day, Ginny.

It always seemed curious how they tucked there heads but they don't lie down. Great photos you have shared today.

Ouch! That can only result in pain.

They are all content and enjoying the sunshine. My neck would be so sore too!

They are nice photos even though the birds were napping with their head tucked under their wings. I like the quote. I am weaning off coffee and I do feel sleeping without the caffeine.
