Strawberry Fields Forever

We went to a local strawberry farm a few days ago. We did not buy any, most had been destroyed by a recent hail storm.

They had this lovely hanging plnat beside the door to the inside.

Inside, there was not much. This pottery displayed on shelves made from wooden crates.

And I LOVED this fall painting they had hanging up; even though it is summer now. And guess what? It's a jigsaw puzzle!

That's sad about the strawberries, but it sounds like a great place to visit.

What a shame they lost their strawberry crop. Farmer’s are always at the mercy of the weather. I would enjoy visiting though. And that jigsaw puzzle would be a fun one.

poor strawberry farmers, that probably cost them a lot of money. the weather has bee CrAzY! sorry you could not get fresh ones. its a pretty place to visit unless the heat was melting you. I love the crates, what a great way to display things and can be arranged any way needed..

So in the photo with the red and white stripes - what was it - the ground painted? Sad for those farmers.

Awwww... how sad about the strawberries. That's a great deal of this farmer's income, I would imagine. Tough loss! ~Andrea xoxo

Oh so sad that hail ruined the crop of strawberries.
Heavy frost last month ruined peaches that were at their prime ripening time. The ranchers around us are loosing a lot of money. So sad.

That puzzle was great! I love hanging them up as art, too!

We had a local farmer who had acres of things growing for farmers market and it too was all destroyed by hail. He mowed it all down and started over with a few things.

The Strawberry Festival sounds fun. I love strawberries. They used to have a Strawberry Festival every year in the town I grew up in, and I only went to it once. The strawberry fields are so pretty. And I smiled at that Fall jigsaw puzzle, as Fall is my favorite. Strawberry jam is the best too.

No strawberries? That is a sad thought! Very few things have the ability to make people happy quite like a strawberry! I like that autumn puzzle picture too. xoxo
