You may remember that every fall I post about the man a few blocks away. He grows giant pumpkins and wins prizes in competitions. He grows them in his backyard, then brings them in front of the house when they are ready. Remember this pic of our granddaughter sitting on one?
Yesterday we drove down the alley in back of his house to see what was going on. And he is still growing them! So here is a sneak peek.
He turns little fans on in front of some of them.

Those are really giant pumpkins. I wonder how he does it and what happens to his giant pumpkins. Are the pumpkins sold for food?
Just one word...amazing.
I do remember seeing about this guy. Those sure are big pumpkins.
Huge pumpkins indeed.
That's totally amazing! I wonder what the fans are for? I'm glad he's still growing his pumpkins, Ginny. There's something reassuring about traditions continuing, isn't there. ~Andrea xoxo
Those are incredible! I have only ever seen one that big in photos such as yours. Cute photo of your granddaughter and enjoyed the advice from a pumpkin :)
Now that's what I call a pumpkin - I do remember your granddaughter sitting on it. Wonder if they do with it.
Wow! Giant pumpkins and great advice from them!
Such care to grow the giant pumpkins.
He's sure to win some prizes again this year.

I love pumpkin! I wonder if these big ones are good to eat? I get the little bitty pie pumpkins this time of year.
Good for him! A good for that quote. 😊
Boy, he has quite a setup there - no wonder he can grow giant pumpkins. Memorable neighbor to have. Cute photo of your granddaughter.
WOW, what a project! Such a cute picture of your much-smaller granddaughter! xoxo
Wow, big pumpkins! post more as you get them..going to look back and see if the big cat has any recent pics. I love seeing how it is dressed up.
Oh my that sure is a gigantic pumpkin!!!
That is such a wonderful thing to do. They are huge! And I'm wondering how he hauls those giant pumpkins from the back yard into the front yard. This photo of your granddaughter sitting on the pumpkin is delightful. It's like you have a pumpkin patch right around the corner.

Those are huge. I've never seen one as gigantic as the one your granddaughter is sitting on.
What do the little fans do?
