Sunday Sunset

Here are the Chimney Swallows flying into the chimney for the night. They come when it is almost dark. They circle around and around it endlessly before they finally go inside.

“Cliff swallows come back to Capistrano Mid-March. It takes them 3 weeks to fly 7,000 miles from Goya, Argentina.”

Wow! Great pictures, but I'm so glad I'm not a Chimney Swallow!

Thank you for telling me, what you are watching on Britbox! I write them down, on a list. Right now, I got Acorn too and we are watching 'Doc Martin' from the beginning, and 'Pie In The Sky.'<---Have seen some of this, and love it. Hope you look for "Henry Crabbe" and his restaurant!!!!!

My question is do they go into chimneys where people live? Good shots.

Interesting and great shots of the swallows. Love the beautiful pink sky.

I've never seen chimney swallows. I would think they would make quite a mess if they are in chimneys of houses where people are living.

We had chimney swifts in our chimney for years at our old house. We used to love to listen to them twittering and chirping when they all came home in the evening. We had to close off our chimney before we sold the house though because I figured the new owners would not be as receptive of them as we were!
