I got shots of the Super Blue Moon tonight! So named because it is a blue moon (meaning there are two in one month), and super because the moon is much closer to the earth than usual. This won't happen again till sometime in the 2030's. We watched it rise over the mountains.
And for those of you who wanted an actual blue moon, I made that happen.

love the quote at the end. beautiful moons even the blue one. all i know is it has been HUGE the past few nights and this am at 4 am, it was on our head and the whole back yard looked like it was lit up by flood lights. we needed no flash light at all and could see the bottom of the pool by moonlight
