The Last Shout

I thought I'd show you some of the things I had put out for summer before I put them away for fall decorations. Which I have started doing now (i'm old and it takes me a long time)!

You have such cute decorations. I love that first one with the little fox. All your gnomes re adorable. I was thinking about getting ready for fall decorating. I'll take the patriotic stuff down and packed up so I can start with fall on Labor Day.

Your decor always looks so cute!
Sweeping the room with a glance made me laugh.

Cute Quote and I think I might like doing that myself. Sadly, it is way too hot here to think about changing out my things in the house. I love your glass chickens...they are adorable. You always have such things out on display...

Your decorations are beautiful. I especially love the purple gnomes. Do you think putting them away for the summer will get the heat gone faster?

For the record, I’m with Erma!

I envy your ability to decorate with your ever changing seasonal treasures. Christmas tree and limited other Christmas decorations go up in our house.

Hubby usually decks our yard with lights in the trees but we will see what he does this year. Hoping he will get grandsons or professionals to help.

Everything looks nice. Cute stuff. I tend to slowly ease into Fall decorations. Still too hot to feel like fall.

Oh Ginny, I know what you mean about putting stuff out for Fall already. I am already thinking about it too. Such cute things you have out for Summer. I like those miniature items, and the purple gnomes made me smile. Those glass roosters are really neat too. Looking forward to seeing all your Fall decor, Ginny. You always decorate so nicely.

Have a wonderful week.

Hi Ginny, thanks for your comment on my blog post today about the mansion of Doris Duke we visited in Newport, RI. TO answer your ? I don't know anything about the desk, but as most of the furnishings were made of wood perhaps it was as well. I agree with your comment that the ceilings were ornate. Many of the Gilded Age mansions had paintings on the ceilings, but there were none at Rough Point.

As for fall decos, I will start putting mine out within the next month before we leave for a belated 25th wedding anniversary trip in early Oct. We're going to Tuscany.

Those were so cute and happy, Ginny, especially the gnomes. I got tired of the patriotic decorations as soon as July was done. Now I'm in sunflower mode (except for a pair of bumblebee gnomes) until time to bring out the big fall guns, hahaha! xoxo

Sensational Cemetery

A couple weeks ago, our local cemetery was looking so splendid in fall colors. We drove in to take closer looks. The fence around a cemeter...
