Let's take a peek in the building where the Thanksgiving Parade floats are made. Here is my favorite. Rao's company made a dragon using different kinds of pasta.
His nose seems to be a ravioli. And maybe lasagna for the mouth. And look! His claws are elbow macaroni!
Here, the brave knight fights the dragon on his rigatoni pony. It is decorated with spaghetti.
Here they are together on the float.
The dragon appears to be riding on a rooster.
He is fierce looking. And appears to be spitting spaghetti sauce.
But he can also breathe fire!
Here are the drawings the artists came up with before they made him.
"The trouble
with eating Italian food is that two or three days later, you're hungry
again."
- George Miller
“Dragons symbolize
the untamed majesty of the natural world.”

Wow! How did you gain access to that?
They were so creative.
Thanks for sharing this! It's so cool and creative!
The creativity of people amaze me. Like why not, use pasta! π
I would love to have some spaghetti right now, and that is terrible. I should not want another thing with as much as I have eaten today.
That is so clever!!
Amazing! Incredible! Fabuosos! love it. Really gifted artists to create it and using pasta. wow... I want to do this when I grow up. ha ha ha ha ha
WOW, that's pretty impressive. So what happens to this when the parade is over. Do they save it or dismantle it? Is there some kind of museum that houses old parade floats? I just love that rigatoni pony.
Very creative if not a little weird!
thank you Ginny for the view inside...I was wondering the same thing as Great-Granny Grandma....how did you get in there to see this. Pretty neat!!!
Oh my!! I don't even know what to say to that. It must have taken quite a bit of work.
WOW... the creativity is amazing.
