Just Believe

I spotted this fence on one of our short trips. I don't know who decorated it. The building behind it looks a bit like a school, so maybe the students did it.

“My purpose in writing is simply this: that you who believe in God’s Son will know beyond the shadow of a doubt that you have eternal life, the reality and not the illusion.”

The Lights

I think these lights are so pretty! They are really catching on now. We saw these at a booth at the county fair. Which is your favorite? Do you have one that is similar?

“This is the way God works. Over and over again He pulls our souls back from certain destruction so we’ll see the light—and live in the light!”
Job 33

Penny Lane

We were in Richmond Virginia when we passed the Penny Lane Pub! Could Paul & Ringo be far behind? The traffic was bad, and we drove past with only a quick glimpse.

“Go ahead and drink a little wine, for instance; it’s good for your digestion, good medicine for what ails you.”

Bathing Beauties.

Last week, many flocks of robins flew in. I don't know if they had migrated and returned early, or had already been here.

There had just been a wet snow, and our driveway had a large puddle. Just the thing to wash the dirt off! And so it began.

A regal cardinal sat in the nearby lilac bush. He would have nothing to do with these commoners. His bath would wait until the rabble left, and he could proceed in a more seemly manner.

“Mirth is God's medicine. Everybody ought to bathe in it.”

Sun Day - The Black Rays

A sunset over the mountains from last July. Have you ever seen black sun rays like this?

“What is life? It is the flash of a firefly in the night. It is the breath of a buffalo in the wintertime. It is the little shadow which runs across the grass and loses itself in the sunset.”
 ~Crowfoot, 1890

Winter, Flu, And Groundhogs

This is what our local T.V. news showed this today. The groundhog predicts six more weeks of winter. He is only right 39% of the time.

We have quite a few groundhogs around here.

Forget when spring starts. We need a critter to predict when the flu season will be over!

“He spreads snow like a white fleece, he scatters frost like ashes, He broadcasts hail like birdseed— who can survive his winter? Then he gives the command and it all melts; he breathes on winter—suddenly it’s spring!”
Psalm 147

The Snowflake Barn

I don't remember where I saw this, we were on a trip somewhere in Virginia.  I love it!
