So Late

How did it get so late so soon?
It's night before it's afternoon
December is here before it's June
My goodness how the time has flewn!
How did it get so late so soon?
Dr. Seuss

Here are some pictures of our small southern town in the fall. And speaking of the seasons changing, we have a record breaking storm of historic proportions on the way, and are under a tornado watch for the next five or six hours. Apparently this storm is worse than the one that wrecked The Edmund Fitzgerald ship in that Gordon Lightfoot song! So if you do not hear from me in awhile, you will know we have been storm victims, keep us in your prayers!

"Praise be to the name of God forever and ever; wisdom and power are his. He changes times and seasons...He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning. He reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what lies in darkness, and light dwells with him." Daniel 2:20

Hi Ginny, Your Fall pictures around your area are gorgeous.... Hope the storm doesn't destroy all of those pretty trees/leaves. We have had high winds for about 3 days now --and many of our leaves are DOWN...

We were under storm watches today also --and luckily, other than high winds and some rain, we had no trouble. Hope you don't have any trouble either.

Hugs,
Betsy

It is so warm here, even now at midnight... 72. It feels like early spring and is supposed to be 87 tomorrow here. It gets to our place by noon tomorrow.

Beautiful photos! And I chuckled at the piece you posted by Dr. Suess.

It doesn't feel like fall around here anymore... doesn't look like it either.

We speak peace over your area....

Ginny, the leaves are so beautiful in your area and I love all the decorations. That is a great Dr. Seuss verse.

I hope the storm doesn't cause any damage and you and yours remain safe. We had a wind advisory yesterday but we got lucky and the storm went north of us.

Thinking of you tonight,
Judy

Hi Ginny, We have had some mild T storms here but no damaging winds or hail or tornadoes in our area - just a bit of wind and rain. Your pictures are just great today as usual. I love the Fall colors in those trees!
Have a really great day!

Ginny, the color in those photos is truly God's blessing on us as he made you his photographer. Stay safe, be well and the storm will pass. Blessings to you and your family.

I love Dr. Seuss! The pics are beautiful. Fall is such a pretty time of year....now we are covered in white....

I hope that storm missed you and that everything is okay. You certainly had some beautiful autumn color, but I'm sure a storm would bring down most of the leaves just as it has done here in the Glade

We've had our part of your storm. We woke up to snow, and I'm just not a winter person!!!

You have more beautiful color where you are than we do Ginny. The storm is passing through our way now--mostly rain and little wind. thank goodness! Of course that can change in an instant.

Stay safe and warm!

I'm so late to this post but as I scroll along, I see that all is well as there are more posts above this one.

My blogging friend, Beth, in Tennessee, has been under tornado watches too. I do not understand how you folks do it. All that noise and light terrifies me. Rain and a good brisk wind is okay but things blowing over, up, around, etc. etc... Gives me the chills.

p.s. Love your Fall pictures, most especially the gracefully drooping sunflower.

Your pics are wonderful! Amazing color - which I've missed here in Louisiana this year! And you are so right about time passing so swiftly; it seems to fly these days!

I thought I had commented on here but it must have been in Face Book like you said-ha! Anyhow, I love all the fall pictures and also your background on your Blog! Yes, I did make the pillow, it is one of the items for sale in my Etsy shop right now. Thanks for all your kind words! hugs, K

Sunday Sunset

I snapped these from the Target parking lot. The sun had just gone down, but the trees were hiding the very bottom part of the sunset. Life...
