Decorating

My friend Karen, over at WHAT KAREN SEES, is having a fun challenge for her followers to post their fall decorations, and put the link on her blog. The links will all include actual thumbnail photos! Now, she did say to post A photo, and I have posted a few, so I will see if my link will go through on her blog. I love my little fall angel whose wings are leaves, and of course I just had to include the fall colored M & M's in my leaf dish! The turkey is made from a pinecone and the tail is my granddaughter's handprint. Speaking of decorations, John saw the Holy City coming down to earth in his vision, and it was the ultimate decoration of all time, because it was decorated by God.

"The wall was made of jasper, and the city of pure gold, as pure as glass. The foundations of the city walls were decorated with every kind of precious stone. The first foundation was jasper, the second sapphire, the third chalcedony, the fourth emerald, the fifth sardonyx, the sixth carnelian, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth crysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst. The twelve gates were twelve pearls, each gate made of a single pearl. The great street of the city was of pure gold, like transparent glass."

Good evening, Ginny. I love your sweet little angel. How clever to use a child's hands as turkey feathers. I have a couple of leaf dishes like yours. Decorating didn't happen much this year. With Don's recovery, he saved all his energy for Christmas. We'll get started on that after Thanksgiving. Then the house will give over to a wonderland of Christmas mangers. We have a LOT of mangers.

Its that time..your decorations are pretty an I'm sure they hold a special place for you! Funny, I still keep looking at pumpkins! A friend made one a few years ago for me spray painted in gold and green with a Christmas tree and stars carved out..was pretty with a candle in it!
Hey, I love those verses too- Have a great weekend-

What a great idea to use hand prints as the turkey's tail, that is so cute. I love your pretty little angel. You have lovely fall decorations.

Looks good to me, the decoratons I mean. i will be dropping over to see who post what on the site, i wrote i don't decorate but i like to look at others things. I am the queen on non decorate. my mother was the queen of decorate for every season she had things and tablecloths with matching candles for each holiday. i got daddy's humbug genes on decorating.

Good Morning, Ginny... I love your Fall decorations--but that little angel with the 'fall leaves' as wings caught my attention. She is gorgeous... I collect angels --but only Christmas-type ones (since that is when I have mine out).. BUT--your little angel is fabulous.... Thanks for sharing ALL of your goodies.
Hugs,
Betsy

Those are neat. I like the one with the bunny the best.

Did I bump into any aliens? .... Does Betsy qualify? :)

Hi Ginny, Well, it is that time of year when many of us are beginning our holiday decorations. I like your post today and the encouraging Scripture too. We who are believers and follow Jesus as Lord and Savior do have a well-decorated Heavenly home to look forward to! Have a super good rest of the weekend!

I miss seeing you on my blog, Ginny, you must be a very busy gal. I love your fall decorations! This is my favorite time of year - if it would only start to get colder. It's supposed to warm up next week again (in the 80s) and I'm very disappointed.

Enjoy your weekend,
Doris and Gizzy

Thanks for sharing your decorations and verses of God's decorations. Thanksgiving is celebrated at our house but, like Sandra, not with decorations. Now with the link to Karen, I will be able to enjoy some Thanksgiving derations!

Ginny, I, too, love your decorations, all from the heart. I also collect angels and your little fall angel is adorable. And the pine cone turkey brings back so many memories of my children and all their holiday decorations that filled our house. I have five kids so we had their art everywhere. P.S. Thank you so much for helping me figure out how to post thumbnail links. I want use my 'Phun Phriday' posts some times to showcase the work of my photographer friends who are so talented. Have a great Sunday!!!
