I've Got My Eye On You

Ella is looking at something very intently, what has she got her eye on? Well, It's this kaleidoscope that fascinated her so much today. Aren't the designs pretty? I was pleased that my camera was able to look through the tiny eyehole and show you what she saw. While I had my eye on her with her eye on this, someone else had his eye on both of us. And as pretty as these designs are, his designs for us are much, much better.

"It's in Christ that we find out who we are and what we are living for. Long before we first heard of Christ and got our hopes up, he had his eye on us, had designs for us for glorious living, part of the overall purpose he is working out in everything and everyone." Ephesians 1:11,12

I haven't seen a kaleidoscope like this in ages. I'm glad Ella was so enthralled with it and I'm glad your camera got these wonderful pictures of the designs.

Gorgeous colors, Ginny... A Kaleidoscope is so much fun to have... I'm glad that Ella is enjoying one. I certainly did ---many years ago.

Reminds me a little of the old viewfinders... Did you have one of them???? They didn't show colors like the kaleidoscope --but showed pictures 'sorta' in 3-D.

Thanks for the memories.
Hugs,
Betsy

Lovely photos! I loved looking through my grandpa's kaleidescope when I was a young girl in Germany - I could stare at it for hours. I still love them very much and yes, I am very thankful that God has His eyes on us ...

At first I thought that header picture was another Christmas ornament! :) Interesting. I haven't seen a kaleidoscope in many years but your photos make me remember that there is such a function in one of my editing programs...

Thanks for finding your way to my new blog yesterday - yes, I knew that you would! but it still feels very reassuring to see the regular commentators turning up so soon.

You got a good camera.

Yellow Box: I THINK this is a power box for people to plug their power tools when they repair their boat. There were quite a few of them at different intervals.

Ella looks like she is enjoying the kaleidoscope just the way I did as a child. She is adorable and that is the cutest outfit.

Your camera really captured the images of the kaleidscope, well done Ginny.

Don't you just love passing on your experiences to your grandchildren. I'm wondering this morning if mine have ever seen such and thanking you for this reminder. Who but you would even think to try and take a picture of the inside! Fantastic.

i think you beat me here, never ever thought of taking a photo through the tiny hole. they came out good to. ella is really getting tall, and of course looks adorable, since there is no way she could not look adorable.

Hi Ginny, I just love the kaleidoscope so much. The kaleidoscope was one of my favorite toys as a little girl. Those fantastic patterns and colors are alluring and pull the viewer into a true natural fantasy! Symmetry is God's gift to man. Have a super day today!

These designs are truly beautiful! No wonder Ella was fascinated by them!

I love reading everyone's comments about Ella. I thought the same thing...that she looks tall in that outfit. I think I need to come for a visit.

Hi, Ginny. Just jumping bak in to answer your question. I used a small gratin dish as a mold. Any time you think you might want to mold rice, just pack hot rice in to whatever and let it sit for 10 minutes or so before unmolding. Have a great day. Blessings...Mary

I love kaleidoscopes... Nyssa has one with long tubes filled with confetti and oil and you insert the tube in a viewing tube and gravity causes the confetti to slowly fall. Each time is different.
