We have been having a triple digit heatwave. And this is how the sunset looked yesterday as it melted down on us. That little speck in my header over the right top of the sun is a bird.
"In the heavens he has pitched a tent for the sun, which is like a bridegroom coming forth from his pavilion, like a champion rejoicing to run his course. It rises at one end of the heavens and makes it's circuit to the other; nothing is hidden from it's heat."
Psalm 19:5,6

I think I am finally ready for some rain...we are never satisfied, are we?
Even the sunset looks very hot.I hope the cool air coming into my house right now, makes its way over to your place,as well.
I agree with Ruth -- even your beautiful sunset looks hot. We had a slight break from the heat yesterday, but it was back today.
It's hard sometimes to find ways to keep cool during those kinds of temps. What Ruth said is so true - I could almost feel the heat of the sun through those photos! So sad for the families of those people who died because of the heat!
I think the sunset is HOT too--like we all are. Your temps are higher than ours --but we are hot enough... I'm ready for FALL!!!!!!
Great pictures. Love the header.
Hugs,
Betsy
Sorry about all the heat over your way Ginny but it is giving you some gorgeous sunsets. I have to agree with the other, it does look really hot.
Take it easy and stay as cool as possible.
A pretty verse.. I see a touch of silhouette snd the little speck of bird..looks like there maybe two?! Beautiful series but I don't envy you with the heat right now! Yikes it must be hot! I think I mentioned it's been hot but mostly humid..anyway, have a lovely weekend and stay cool-
You are a gifted photographer, Ginny.
Enjoy the weekend.
what a gorgeous sky that is. We finally had a little rain last night that brought some cooler temperatures. This morning it's already in the 70's though so I'm expecting more heat to come
Wow! You take the best pictures!! Yes, Ginny it's sure been hot. Hey.. I put the wrong date for Lindsey's baby due date, it's actually in early Dec. I wouldn't have changed it if you hadn't pointed it out. THANK YOU!! Stay cool now... love to you and Phil ;-)
it does look like it is melting. hope you get a break from the heat soon. but they did say it is headed down here next. we almost got rain last night, we could hear and see it but it passed us by.
That sky looks molten. These are beautiful pictures, Ginny. I hope you have a great day. Blessings...Mary
Ouch! That does look hot! Stay cool today.
Time for a Slushi! It was brutal yesterday! I felt so sorry for people who have breathing problems in this kind of weather!
Blessings, Joanne
It does look sweltering!
Hope the heat wave doesn't linger longer. Try to stay cool. your sun pictures are beautiful.
Beautiful pictures, Ginny. You're getting better all the time with that camera! I just turned the thermostat a few degrees cooler after looking at that hot sun! ☺
It's cooled off here so it should be coming your way soon!
I like just 1/3 of your heat. We are so cold that we are expecting some snow in our Auckland mountain ranges in the West, 1 hour away.
God is such an awesome painter!
You get the prettiest sunsets,Ginny!
