Pretty In Pink

At night, I open the window and ask the moon to come and press its face against mine. ..The moon won't use the door, only the window. ~Rumi

May you have warm words on a cool evening, a full moon on a dark night, and a smooth road all the way to your door. ~Irish Toast

Tonight I went out and took these pictures of the Full Pink Moon. The April moon gets it's name from the wild ground phlox, one of the earliest flowers of the spring. Well, turned out the moon was not very pink at all, so I had to do a little magic with photo editing to show you how it would look if it really were pink! Yes, my header and last photo are not the REAL color of the moon tonight. But all the other photos are, I promise! Till next time, I hope you all stay in the pink!!

“I look up at your macro-skies, dark and enormous, your handmade sky-jewelry, Moon and stars mounted in their settings. Then I look at my micro-self and wonder, Why do you bother with us? Why take a second look our way?”
Psalm 8

Don't have a clear sky here, but saw it last night! Now, when I look at the moon, I always think of you and know you'll be taking a shot! Love it in pink - too cool! I do wish I knew why the full moon in particular, affects some of us in our health. My d-i-l is really affected by it with her arthritis and emotional well-being. Some days I'd come in to work not feeling that great either and invariably my friend and colleague would say, "You felt like that last month, when it was full moon." I never attributed it to the moon, but a pattern did emerge. It didn't change anything except to know that like the moon it would all wane again.

Have a blessed Easter!

I love the moon. No matter what color. One of the prettiest ones I've seen is once up in Idaho when it was beet red.

That photo of the pink moon is extraordinary. Our sky has been heavily overcast so we only get to see glimpses of it when the cloud cover breaks. Ginny, I hope you and your family have a wonderful holiday. Hugs and blessings...Mary

beautiful Ginny. Sometimes when I stand outside and look up I feel incredibly small and my life unimportant. The world is huge and yet He loves each one of this so much. Amazing thought to me. Happy Easter.
