The Rainbow

Last night we were out running errands when a big downpour exploded, with huge raindrops pounding on the car. Afterwards, as we headed home, this beautiful rainbow appeared. As we pulled into a parking lot to watch and snap, it turned into a double rainbow, and the sky got more and more intense blue. If you can notice in the two rainbows, one has colors in the exact opposite order of the other, a perfect reflection. And here is something to reflect on.

“I'm putting my rainbow in the clouds, a sign of the covenant between me and the Earth. From now on, when I form a cloud over the Earth and the rainbow appears in the cloud, I'll remember my covenant between me and you and everything living, that never again will floodwaters destroy all life. When the rainbow appears in the cloud, I'll see it and remember the eternal covenant between God and everything living, every last living creature on Earth."
Genesis 9

Omigoodness, Ginny. This is so pretty. And, the next time I see a double rainbow I will look at that little detail about the colors being opposite each other. I never noticed that.

Thank you for your prayers. The waiting will be very hard.

Beautiful! We frequently see double rainbows here but I've never noticed if they are reversed. Good observation!

Love this! I am so thankful that we have such a faithful God - He always seems to know just when we need a rainbow, doesn't He?

I think a double rainbow means God's reminding us double of His promise to us!

I just love rainbows, Ginny...thank you for sharing such beauty! Rainbows remind me of God's unfailing promise. Thanks so much for coming to my blog and for your kind comment. As far as the cache goes...I use Google Chrome as a browser, and every so often I clear my "history"....visited websites, etc. It is sort of a decluttering on your computer which helps tremendously at keeping it running smoothly. You can also do this in Explorer as well. I know very little about computers, I am learning as I go along...and am more than happy to help others as best I can.
Wishing you a wonder filled Easter filled with joy, love and peace.

Ginny....these images are absolutely incredible!!! [the post I did today, you asked if that was a whole ship...the blue & white in the water is the ship...it's a 'flat bed' with the 'bed' immersed in water ...the tower is an oil rig being transported.

Perhaps a double rainbow is a double portion of God's grace? I like to think so anyway -smile-. I saw one a few weeks ago and posted it on my blog...always beautiful, always welcome.

We had a heavy downpour here in the Glade yesterday, but we didn't have a beautiful rainbow. So I'm very glad you got these wonderful pictures to share with us.

Rainbows in stereo! Stunningly beautiful! They always remind me of God's promise, the Scripture you quoted. I love the deep colors - sometimes the colors are not so crisp! Enjoy your Easter week-end!

Sunday Sunset

I snapped these from the Target parking lot. The sun had just gone down, but the trees were hiding the very bottom part of the sunset. Life...
