Stooge For A Day
I took Phil to see "The Three Stooges" movie today. I think the Stooges are strictly a guy thing, since I have never known a woman who liked them. It was literally painful for me to sit through this movie, as they chocked a dolphin, burned a man's chest with hot irons, fell off buildings and ladders, and got chain sawed in the head...and that was just in the first minute!!! O.K. I am kidding about the first minute part... anyway, I am glad that Phil liked the movie. For any Stooge fans, here is a picture of The Stooges as babies, then at 10 years old. Yes, I snapped the huge screen in the theater! We went to Zeus, our new state of the art movie theater, and wow!! It is really fancy, come walk through with me. As you can see, they even have a room that is a gaming arcade, and a separate banquet room. The seats are recliners that rock, here is Phil showing you one. And the screen is enormous. I don't know why the theater is named Zeus, he was the God of Thunder, ruler of mount Olympus. But our real God is not just God of thunder, but everything that exists!! And I guess that would even include The Stooges.
"He pulls water up out of the sea, distills it, and fills up his rain-cloud cisterns. Then the skies open up and pour out soaking showers on everyone. Does anyone have the slightest idea how this happens? How he arranges the clouds, how he speaks in thunder? Just look at that lightning, his sky-filling light show illumining the dark depths of the sea! These are the symbols of his sovereignty, his generosity, his loving care. He hurls arrows of light, taking sure and accurate aim. The High God roars in the thunder, angry against evil."

The seats look very comfortable. A bit like the one I am sitting now.
Please ask Phil if you can come. Many Americans come, because you $ is bigger than ours.
The photo with the farm animals, we were with a couple who are in their 70s.
hey, I love to watch the Three Stooges last time.. I was in my young teens then.. I think the three of them have passed on already, right? Those days were shown on black and white screen...
Well they were cute as babies but I figure they were hitting and sticking their fingers in each others eyes even at that age. I'm glad Phil enjoyed the movie but I think I'll pass on this one. That is a nice looking theater.
Glad Phil enjoyed the movie. I tire very quickly of their humor! My brother, husband and I always refer to ourselves as the Three Stooges when we are working on a project together....of course, Larry is Larry, I'm Curly and John is Moe!!!
I've never been big on the stooges either.
wow, what a theater! as for the movie, i'll pass. the baker will have to see it on his own!! where is that theater?
best,
best,
bonnie
That theater is fan-cy. I don't get the Stooges, either.
I would most likely fall asleep in those comfy chairs.
I hope you might have taken a catnap in that gorgeous theater. I am so with you Ginny! You were sweet to go. sandie
A very comfortable and state of art theatre!! The seats look plush and very comfortable indeed.
Loved the pics Ginny, hope you have a lovely week ahead:)
Glad you were a good spirit and went along!! Looks like a very comfortable place to spend a few Zzzzzzzzs while hubby watches the movie, lol!! Our God is an awesome God!
Never been a Stooge fan either. That's an amazing theater.
When I was young I was SO afraid of the Three Stooges. I would wait to go in the show hall until I was sure they were over....then when my daughter was in high school what did she start collecting....anything to do with the Three Stooges....go figure....ha ha!
the theater is wild for sure, never seen anything like it, you are a better woman than I am, i could not would not sit through the stooges. my first husband and our 2 sons, loved that show and watched it for hours on TV over and over. almost all men love it and amost all women don't. there are a few that like it. i don't watch slap stick comedy, like air conditioners falling on people's heads. just not funny to me.
That is some theater! I haven't been to a theater to see a movie in such a long time. Hubby doesn't like to go. Those chairs would be comfie to nap in!
It looks like a great place, love the second picture.
Greetings,
Filip
Yes, my brother was a great Stooges fan. I could never understand why whacking someone with a plank was funny. Doesn't sound like anything has changed.
Your thater is amazing!
I must admit that I was never a great fan of the Three Stooges. I would admit, though, that I would go to see the new movie just to get inside your snazzy new theater.
Seems quite a contrast in the opulence of the new theater and the Stooge's slapstick! Good job with pix and thoughts!
I am waiting for this to be on DVD...I do like the three stooges, maybe not as much as when i was a kid...but I like them if for nothing else but the memories they bring back.
The last movie my dad and I ever went together to was Snow White and the Three Stooges...really!!! I was in third grade and is was a real movie. It is a guy thing for sure!
So glad Phil enjoyed. :o)
Have a beautifully blessed day sweetie!!!
I'm not sur I would enjoy the movie either but I did watch them as a kid ... come home every day from school and watch. Not much else in those days to watch, I guess!
I agree with you that the 3 Stooges are painful to watch. You new theater looks so cool though.
Zeus, huh. Never heard of that theatre name. I like the colors. I never caught on to the stooges. Not even as a kid. Eh.......
The theater sounds almost overwhelming. The three Stooges and the Marx Brothers are hard to take and for your patience you should receive the "Good Wife of the Day" award. I think I'd have sneaked out and paid double admission to return just before the movie ended. Have a great evening, Ginny. Blessings...Mary
what a good sport you were to sit through the movie. I'm not a fan either. Those seats look very comfortable but also look like they have very high backs. Doesn't that make them hard to see over?
I wanted to take the close up photo so I can see their faces. I am glad I took that. Pity there were no passer bys to take one of the three of us.
The Shell gas station here is bought over by local business, they call it Z gas, Z for Zealand.
Oh, my! I'm sure the "humor" was a bit hard to endure, even though I enjoyed watching the Stooges as a child.
I'm glad I serve the one true God, too!
Zeus is the perfect name, Ginny. It's those sounds systems that surround you; it sounds like thunder. I'm lucky if I get Don to a movie once a year. He hates all the noise.
However, that being said, he said he wanted to see the new Dark Shadows movie coming out in May. Burton and Depp - the ultimate movie duo. Can't wait.
I have to say I too think the stooges is a 'guy thing' but I'm glad men can giggle too. Have a great day!
Oh my, the theater is gorgeous. I watched the three stooges as a child, but I don't think I will venture out to watch it, unless my hubby wants to.
I've heard the Three Stooges referred to in other American sitcoms and films but I've never actually seen the original, so I only have a second-hand opinion about them... which, however, pretty much fits with what you say here! LOL
you're funny! It was thoughtful of you to take them...they appreciate you!
Theaters have certainly changed, haven't they??? I'd probably go to sleep in one of those comfy chairs!!!!!
That was nice of you to take Phil to see the Stooges.. I guess that they are a 'guy thing' since I never cared for them much either.
Hugs,
Betsy

Hi! I'm about to start my own website and was wondering if you know where the best place to purchase a blog url is? I'm not even sure if that's what its known as? (I'm
