Showers Of Blessings

Welcome to my afternoon of nothing being what it seems! This weekend, I went to a bridal shower, come along with me and see the fun. I hope you have a good time. Isn't the cake beautiful? Well, it is not really a cake, it is made from bath towels!! My friend Susie made it for the table centerpiece. And the guests beautiful white gowns are all made from toilet paper. We had a contest to see whose looked the best. Who do you think should have won? I think the girl on the left looks a bit like a mummy bride! The lady in the middle with the flowers was the winner. She grabbed the flowers from our table to use as a makeshift bouquet. One thing that WAS real was the fun and friendship between us all, it was a great afternoon.

“The Man said, "Finally! Bone of my bone, flesh of my flesh! Name her Woman for she was made from Man." Therefore a man leaves his father and mother and embraces his wife. They become one flesh. The two of them, the Man and his Wife, were naked, but they felt no shame.”
Genesis 2

They all look so cute. How creative they were with the toilet tissue. A pretty creative use of towels on that cake too. You do find the most fun things.

bath toilets, is this a polite term for .......? used to do this at university.

The cake is nice. We are having on TV, a baking competition. Last week, they made a wedding cake, and 3 cakes collapsed.

I too think it should have been the one on the far left, everything was toilet paper. Very creative.

I'm trying to figure out how they could make such together dresses while not ripping the tp into little squares whenever they pulled on it.

What a fun time!

Now that looks like fun. Very clever designs.
Love the cake. We did one like that years ago for a baby shower using cloth diapers. Very effective.

The wedding can go to Singapore and be held there.

That church is in Singapore. Sometimes in old churches, people go there for the ambience even if they are not Christians.

I added a photo of my other church in Auckland. another magnificent church with extra sentimental meaning to me.
