Running The Race

For those of you who did not see the opening ceremony of The Olympics, here it is. As usual, it blew my mind with creativity and beauty. So I was snapping all through it! So sit back and see what I and  a few other people saw tonight! The Koreans love and respect tigers, so they started with that.

Some of the colors in the stadium.

A bird of peace.

Night Skiing.

The Olympic rings made from 1,200 drones in the sky.

The path up to light the cauldron.

The cauldron.

And the closing. There, now you don't have to spend four hours watching it.

“You’ve all been to the stadium and seen the athletes race. Everyone runs; one wins. Run to win. All good athletes train hard. They do it for a gold medal that tarnishes and fades. You’re after one that’s gold eternally.”

I watched it with my great-grandson last night. We are all snowed in here.
I loved seeing your pictures and your comments and I missed some of them last night. There was a person at the end who gave a quote about the footsteps of God and catching on to the hem of... wish I could have remembered it. Happy Saturday where you are.

Wow so mesmerizing! I don’t follow Olympics (or any sports) so I haven’t seen the opening. But looks like it was such a great show!
