Donuts & Ice-Cream

We went out this evening to see if there would be a sunset worth posting. I have seen prettier.

On the way home, we passed the grocery store. This is what we came out with. We actually came out with four, and ate two in the car right away. I have also just polished off a pint of ice-cream. I really need to get it together. The best excuse I can give is that at least it is still the holidays. Each day, I plan to go back on my diet. And fail. So I hope with a new year comes more determination on my part, because my pants are getting tight.

Pretty sunset.
Those donuts do look yummy and ice cream sounds good. A couple years back I was doing really good with my diet until the holidays hit. I've never been able to get back on track. I wish you better luck

I'm glad I'm not the only one who hears ice cream and donuts calling my name.

I just said last week in our TOPS meeting, if it taste good it aint legal.. same as if it taste good spit it out. try this. don't think about your pants being to tight or gained weight, but think about what it does to your diverticliist and how it effects your walking and getting up and down. that is what I am doing. if I eat sugar.white flour it makes my bones hurt and if I gain it is harder to walk and move...

*haha* If it tastes good, spit it out. *lol* That about sums it up, doesn't it, Ginny. Well, you know what.... you ate it, you enjoyed it, and that's that. I don't miss much being a diabetic but one of the things I DO miss is a good donut. I just mentioned this to my husband when we passed the donut shop last week. I allow myself a "major no-no treat" once a year.... on my birthday, August 9th. I dream about it all year! I didn't partake in it this year because my beloved kitty "Mistletoe" died on August 8th and I was just too sad to enjoy my birthday. So this year maybe I can do both on one day??!! :-O I'd say that was fair!! :-D Happy New Year's Eve, my friend. Love, Andrea xoxo

I think that sunset is beautiful. At home, the way our house is situated - I don't see the sunsets. Here at the ranch I see both sunrises and sunsets!
I often tell Louis Dean - if it tastes good - spit it out!!!!

Ooooh I love doughnuts! And ice cream! I say it’s totally okay to indulge in them because like you said it’s still holiday :-) I didn’t realize stressed spelled backwards was desserts! This isn’t coincidence! :-)

I bought two donuts too. They're lethal, but we need to indulge once in a while. I'm sure you'll get back to routine dieting again soon.

Well Ginny, I actually laughed out loud at those quotes, especially the first one. I agree with Hootin' Anni, denying us everything we are doomed to failure ;) I have not denied myself anything during this holiday, tomorrow is a good day for new beginnings and I won't be getting on the scale for another week. Beautiful skies there.

Every sunset has some beauty, but some are just a little more spectacular than others. Oh Yum! Those donuts look wonderful.

The cardiologist's diet also goes for diabetics....LOL

I made a 'dessert' the other day and I told Roger I am not making it again for a long time. Neither of us could leave it alone!

Coffee & A Beaver

When we were out this evening, we saw the blackest clouds!  We were at Starbucks, and I figured there would be no chance to snap the full B...
