The Great Pumpkin

I looked out the kitchen door today, and could hardly believe my eyes. A pumpkin!
Upon walking over and inspecting closer, our next door neighbor had planted a tiny pumpkin patch! I don't know how we could have missed this, as our door looks out on this and it is only a few yards away.

Wonder what happened to the rest, or if this was the only one? I don't know if I have seen a pumpkin so early. But for all of you suffering from the heat, hope is on the way!

At the close of a long hot summer, the appearance of the pumpkin heralds the welcome arrival of autumn. ~Kari Spencer

That's a nice size pumpkin. Years ago we planted pumpkins. I don't remember how many we got but I don't think it was very many.

Cool!

We did this one year by accident when I was a kid. A pumpkin grew from our compost pile. :)

Hi Ginny it's Sue again, you asked if I was on blood thinners, No I don't take blood thinners, however I do take a baby aspirin, until recently I was taking three a day, but the vascular surgeon said I only needed one.

There may be only one pumpkin in that patch, but it's a great one!
