I looked out the kitchen door today, and could hardly believe my eyes. A pumpkin!
Upon walking over and inspecting closer, our next door neighbor had planted a tiny pumpkin patch! I don't know how we could have missed this, as our door looks out on this and it is only a few yards away.
Wonder what happened to the rest, or if this was the only one? I don't know if I have seen a pumpkin so early. But for all of you suffering from the heat, hope is on the way!

That one looks to be a nice size.
That was a cute little pumpkin and if that is true about autumn - YEAH!!
We wanted to plant pumpkins but it was too late. Next year! BIG pumpkin patch and BIG watermelon patch!
I got surprised with pumpkins this year too. A have two huge ones growing from my compost bin.
Gosh that one is quite early for end of October Ginny I hope you have a wonderful weekend
Yes, it's early for them to ripen.
A great looking pumpkin, beautiful colour.
now that is a sight I would love to look out my door and see. the photo is beautiful and the patch is also.... you found one of your coolest photos right outside your door.
That's a nice size pumpkin. Years ago we planted pumpkins. I don't remember how many we got but I don't think it was very many.
A sure sign that fall is on its way, Ginny, thanks for sharing.
Have a great day,
Blessings,
Sue
Cool!
We did this one year by accident when I was a kid. A pumpkin grew from our compost pile. :)
Hi Ginny it's Sue again, you asked if I was on blood thinners, No I don't take blood thinners, however I do take a baby aspirin, until recently I was taking three a day, but the vascular surgeon said I only needed one.
There may be only one pumpkin in that patch, but it's a great one!
Wow, it's a beaut!
I wonder what kind of jack o lantern face that pumpkin will have. ;-)
Loved the quote and photos and especially the title's nod to Linus!
I am waiting....and I love that quote.
