Isn't it fun to find things that are beautiful? Sometime we just have to look a bit harder. Have a wonderful weekend and thanks for sharing. HUGS
You definitely found, & photographed beautifully, some awesome leaves.
The third and the last pics are my favourite, so so pretty and colorful☺
colorful leaves are used a lot here in Florida for color in landscaping. these are so beautiful, my favorite is the leaves with thorny or prickly edges. it is amazing to me the details we can see in macro shots. until digital cameras I had no idea those details are there...
Those are all pretty and you are so right, just as pretty as flowers
I'm not sure our upcoming autumn leaves will be as beautiful as these. We're in the midst of a dry spell and that usually means dull autumn colors.
Okay where did you find and capture the photos of those gorgeous leaves? The 3rd one down is amazing!
My leaves never looked like this. They are just drying up and falling off. So hot here.
I think some of these (like the first two) must be 'Plectranthus scutellarioides' (or 'painted nettles'). I used to have one kind of them as potted plant indoors once upon a time.
Lovely photos Ginny, and I enjoyed that last shot too which makes a great header photo. Those leaves are very pretty and you always pick the perfect quote. Thank you! Enjoy the rest of your weekend :)
Some leaves are every bit as beautiful as the flowers are.
Great find, Ginny! I used to have some of these colourful plants in my garden. Their leaves are so colourful, they don't really need flowers.
That top leave is coleus...they come in many colors and are so beautiful. I know some of the others, but cannot think of their name for the life of me. But this was a fun post. I would never have thought of photographing plant leaves...I mean flower plant leaves. Watch for a copy cat post at some point cause this is a fabulous idea.
